1. “depend” の使い方

   何かの話題について討議している時や、コーラとペプシのどちらがいい？と聞かれた時などに、「まかせるよ」と表現する場合、

   間違い

   　It’s depend.

   　It depens of・・・

   正しい表現

   　It’s depends.

   　It deepens on・・・

2. 食事を食べたり、飲み物を飲む時

   間違い

   　I took a coffee this morning.

   　I take dinner around 6.

   例えば、「コーヒーを取ってくる」なら、”take” で構わないが、「コーヒーを飲む」という意味に用いるなら間違い。

   正しい表現

   　I had a coffee this morning.

   　I have dinner around 6.

   「食べる」「飲む」といった行為そのものを表現する時には、”have” を用いる。

3. Preposition（前置詞）の間違い

   「～するために」という動詞と共に用いる場合には、”for” ではなく、”to” を用いる

   間違い

   　I use it for go to work.

   　I need glasses for read.

   　She ran for catch the bus.

   正しい表現

   　I use it to go to work.

   　I need glasses to read.

   　She ran to catch the bus.

   “to + 動詞” の代わりに、”for + 動詞 + ing” という表現も、正しい使い方である。

4. 形容詞 “・・・＋ ed” と “・・・＋ ing” の使い方

   心理的な感情を表現するときには “・・・＋ ed” を、人・物を表現するときには “・・・＋ ing” を用いる。

   間違い

   　I am exciting about that !

   　He is interesting in music.

   　I feel so boring.

   正しい表現

   　I am excited about taht !

   　He is interested in music.

   　I feel so bored.

   I am excited because the class is exciting.

   I am interested because the movie is interesting.

5. “It is” と “is” の使い分け

   世界の言語の中では、”is” から文章をはじめるものもあるが、英語の場合、”is” からはじめると疑問形として取り扱う。

   そうでない場合には、必ず主語を必要とし、 “It is” とはじめる。

   間違い

   　Is good !

   　Is easy !

   　Is not a problem !

   正しい表現

   　It’s good !

   　It’s easy !

   　It’s not a problem !
