人に何かアドバイスする時の命令口調ではない丁寧な英語表現

例えば、

Go to the doctor !

これは、相手に対して命令的な表現となってしまう。

次に、

You should go to the doctor !

最初の表現よりはベターなものにはなるものの、相手に対して「何をするべきか」という感じを与えてしまう。

そこで、

If I were you, I would go to the doctor.

この表現だと、相手に対してマイルドな印象を与え、アドバイスの内容を間接的に伝えることが出来る。

日本語だと、「私だったら、～するね」という感じか？

If I were you, I would + アドバイスの内容

が基本形

ex.

If I were you, I would stop smoking.

If I were you, I would find a new job.

If I were you, I would finish university.

If I were you, I would accept their offer.

If I were you, I would buy the house.
