A short speech that is meant to help people do something faster, better and with more enthusiasms

“a short speech” とは言っても、例えば日本語では、監督が試合前に選手を励ますためのちょっとした一言、といったニュアンス

ex.

Before every basketball game, the coach gives his players a pep talk to help them win the game.

Todays meeting about employee benefit plan pepped up us.

Rahul Gandhi gave a pep talk to new Congress youth activists and asked them to work hard for the uplift of the society.
