A Gut feeling

意味:
to have a certain or a sure feeling about something or someone without a good reason to explain why you feel so

一言でいうと、日本語の「直感」「勘」

ex.

I have a gut feeling that the relationship between Michell and John won’t last too long.

Susan had a gut feeling, she was being followed, so she hurried to her car.

As soon as I came into the room I had a gut feeling that something was wrong and then, I saw Mary lying on the floor.

Maria said her gut feeling was that Natasha was a active smoker and, sure enough, she was.

At the start up of the world cup, I had a gut feeling that India will win and it did.

Laura had a gut feeling that her husband was cheating on her, but she couldn’t prove it.
